Heyo, friendos~! Let's go into the weekend with another commission, fresh off the ol' drawin' table. This is Kurai Darkwolf, belonging to  darkwolf2239.

Met them at AC, and really enjoyed chatting with them for the wee bit o' time we had. I was given free reign with the character, a blue wolf/fox, with focus on making him wicked OR mechanical. Well, wouldn't you know it, I just went ahead and decided to do both.

I've never hid the fact that some of my early influences were McFarlane, Silvestri and Turner (in that order of note). So doing this piece felt a little like returning home with having fun with that techno-organic goodness (Or bio-mechanical as the kids are calling it mostly, these days). I let Kurai be my illustrative playground, while STILL staying, I feel, true to his original design, when you REALLY look at him.

Anyway, I had a blast with this, and was SUPER happy I got it finished this week. heh heh.
