Iron Artist Event!
Starting in September (After the commission que has been completed) I'll be starting on my 52 card deck Iron Artist Challenge :3
Each card will essentially look like this (flipped busts) with the idea of it being functional as a con badge, as well as being apart of the over all 52 card deck.
I've switched up the suits a bit as well to easier craft the lore behind each, as each suit will have a different ideal/style in mind.
Crown will obviously represent Royalty, so 2 of crowns all the way up to king of crowns will sport regal dress and be posed very nobly.
Swords represents military, so each number/face will feature military dress. This won't be limited to modern military wear, but more weapons/armour themed from futuristic to medieval.
Diamonds represent economy, so these will be more steampunky, banker-types (just to pant the picture in your head) These are people dealing with money constantly, so integrated tech will probably be added to reflect that.
And finally hearts, which stands for the holy folk. Dressed in long gowns and bishop-type wear. Nature will be heavily influencing this suit.
Each slot will be 30$ USD each, and I'll be doing them 10 slots at a time with plenty of notice for each. Once the deck is finished I'll hopefully be able to print out the cards in actual deck form and send out cards to each owner respectively (but I'm still working on details for that)
I also want to stress that each card number (be it 2 of swords, or king of crowns) is pretty irrelevant to the quality of art that you'll be getting. Each will be treated as their own piece (besides keeping with the theme of the suit) hence why numbers and face cards are the same price.
Once 10 slots are filled and paid for, I'll be shuffling an actual deck, then drawing the cards at random 10 at a time on stream. Although you will be able to pick your own suit!
Im actually pretty pumped about this project, it's been an idea of mine for a while now. My goal by the end of this will be a 52 card deck potentially for actual printing besides the initial first print.
If you have any questions please feel free to PM me, or comment below ^^
