It was a treat to have these bright orange Paintbrush set in all that green, made for such nice contrast.
I kept trying to compose something with a little patch of the Dusky Beardtongue that's out of frame right, but they're only photogenic from certain angles and it wasn't quite working out haha

Many years ago, I found some Davidson's Penstemon growing at the 1200m level, and I attempted to transplant some, but it didn't survive the move.
