Based on the original https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lord_.....ener_Wants_You which inspired the Uncle Sam posters most people are familiar with today.

Re-reading book five of the Temeraire series with some friends (who have not read the series) inspired this.

I had to go with a slightly more anthro look for him otherwise the poster would have had comical height to width dimensions, but I think it came out well overall.

Also: Screw not having the fonts you need for things. The fonts in the poster of course don't exist in any program I have, so I had to use the original as a stencil and create any missing letters in the same style based on measurements. It was not fun, but I'm really proud of how it looks more or less like the original!\
