Yeah yeah I know we don't know if this is even a real thing. Well it was real enough to GAMEFREAK kick out whoever idiot who found this worthier than their own job (excuse but that wasn't very wise. Pretty stupid actually, no fictional work values more than the possibility to ruin a life) and one of the main illustrators to block anyone who mentioned this to him on Twitter. Too much of a fuss for mere fakes, right?
Well means this baby is real unleeeeeeeess GAMEFREAK decides to not take responsibility for their own traitors and just make some last hour new designs, by sacrificing this guy and the siren who are pure wins. Nevermind the wrestler tiger, but it would be a shame if this happens. Sadly we can't scratch that possibility. But maybe it's too late for them :3
I really like this design. It's very creative, and I'm a sucker to creativity. It has a fab hood of leaves, with a pair of strings attached which it pulls whenever it's upset or angry, making it closing up. Also they seems to be elastic and sturdy, because this mon uses them to pick their own arrow-like feathers and even those conveniently orange markings in its wings to help greater aim. How smart is that?
It's one fabulous owl and if it'll make it from the mess, I'll be fabulously sorry to not be able to have a boy one and call him Zelda ahahaha

Again, take it with a grain of salt because GAMEFREAK has the power to change their concepts over their failure to keep this a surprise (by employing potential traitors). It would be a shame but we can just accept it like adults or bawl like immature kids. The first option seems the best one to take for me.
It was a while so I don't exactly remember where. But it was reliable information.
Specially as I'm not the kind of person who's naive enough to fall for random rumors like the dumb rainbow greninja some nerds were clinging to and in the end it was obviously fake.

I agree that Litten's evo looks terrible for many reasons and I get what you are saying about wanting a change with the bulky macho water evos (though Greninja doesn't quite fit that =p )
The issue I have is that I was really attached to Popplio as he was and his design to start was very masculine, or rather, he definitely looks like a boy. I am biased to more male looking pokemon for sure so there's definitely a bit of my bias talking through here, but it really is saddening for me to see him do a complete 180 and turn into that mermaid thing. I can respect people liking it. People love Milotic, and Gardevoir and super feminine pokemon like that, that's completely fine, I was just hoping Popplio wouldn't go in that direction as I really excited about him.
That being said it's not 100% confirmed yet and there's always tons of other rumors running about with tons of different kinds of speculation so we'll have to wait and see but as it stands if they turn out to be real I'll be unfortunately leaving team Popplio to get that sweet Owl Archer, which by the way I really love how you did him. Looks fantastic!

I don't see the issue with an effeminate male fully evolved popplio. Looks a pretty guy. It's funny how the fandom likes to judge this or that as male or female by the looks only and the other way around is not even a possibility. Sounds me limited. There's nothing wrong with male gardevoirs, lopunnies, milotics, serperiors. Like seriously.
Yeah greninja finally was an exception from the macho bulky fully evolved starters but that's why we don't mind see that stereotype being broken again. Again, Popplio's final evo would be unique among that almost boring group.
With all the honesty, only the fully evolved grass type starters got a huge variety. Fire starters got that sick and dumb obsession over fire/fighting (all just because the director is obsessed with torchics. True story. That's why they rub us with blazikens all the time) and water starters as straight-out-of-the-gym doods.
If you are hanging in my gallery time enough you'll see I tend to break gender stereotypes.

Yeah I get what you are saying and it'll definitely be interesting to see what people come up with in terms male Popplio evo art. I actually quite like male Serperiors. It's always very refreshing to see those though they are quite uncommon! Again, there's definitely some of my bias coming through since in terms of design I'm just not partial to the overly feminine designs so it will definitely be a tough pill to swallow for me but again I totally respect people's opinions on it, it's just not for me for the most part.
I think there's some talk about the starters possibly having split evolutions (also Rockruff?) which I think would be totally awesome. Litten could be "saved" haha and perhaps I could get a Popplio evo that's a bit more to my tastes (not necessarily macho bulky water, since I do agree with you on there being too many of those). We'll see in due time I suppose. ^^
