Bjorn was born a twin with his older sister, Blythe. Blythe was the strongest and most active of the pair, and often motivated her younger brother to get up off his feet and play; however, a sudden illness brought the filly to an all too early end.
Bjorn has picked himself up since then, becoming an active member of the herd and doing the work of two horses.
