Okay, first of all,
pac absolutely knocked this pic out of the park! This is some of the best stuff she has ever done for me! I am truly floored! Thank you, tiny Pac rat!
So, this is a group piece from a superhero RPG I am currently running on Skype with some awesome buds from FA. In 2016, a strange virus is released on North America, turning several dozen people into inhuman mutants with some amazing powers! The government, along with a shadowy Paramilitary Corporation, are trying to round up the mutants. And five of them decide that they're not gonna take it any more! So they escape, and flee with their fellow mutants into the sewers of New York City.
First, we have Spriggan, a diminutive mutant with the ability to manipulate gravity around him. He can also heal grievous wounds by licking them with his long tongue. He is a bit...touched in the head. Or rather, quite nuts. He is played by a RL friend of mine.
Next, we have Albie, played by
Gryph Ranshire. Unlike all the other mutants, Albie was not once a human. He was a regular albino alligator living in the NYC sewers. The virus gave him a humanoid form and a genius level intellect. He spends most of his time with scientific pursuits. He also spends time with his "kids". A dozen baby alligators who look to him as "Uncle Albie". Being around Albie has given these hatchlings human intelligence and the ability to speak. They are VERY curious and cheerful.
After that is Brimstone, played by
Grafsburg. The virus made him into a burned skeleton with the ability to teleport over long distances. Unlike some mutants, Brimstone rather enjoys how his form unnerves others. He is very skilled at intimidation, and loves to be super creepy around enemies. He usually goes out wearing a custom painted gasmask to hide his features.
Up next is Kingsley, played by, naturally,
Kingsley Bun. The virus made him into an anthro wolf, complete with the natural weapons and senses of a wolf. He also has the ability to turn invisible at will, rendering him undetectable to all forms of surveillance. He has maintained a pleasant outlook on life, and is well like by the other mutants. And the baby alligator kids adore him. They have recently watched Zootopia, and they often ask Kingsley if he will start a howl. Kings is actually quite good at howling.
And finally, we have "Rebound" Roo, played by
ERE! The virus turned him into an anthro kangaroo, complete with the ability to leap very long distances. Rebound actually embraced the idea of being a hero very early after the mutation, and even got himself a proper hero costume. Before the government agents came for him, he spent several years fighting crime. In more than one small town in America, there are stories of the strange kangaroo person who helps those in need.

The baby alligators are having so much fun floating in Spriggan's gravity field. They can talk?? I hope they don't do it all at once. There's so many of them and they're all so curious.
Brimstone wants to hide his skeletal features? But that's the creepiest part!
