This was from my trip to NS Norfolk in 2007, the two ships seen are the New Orleans and the Iwo Jima.

NOTE: One ship missing in this photo is the USS McFaul (DDG-74), undergoing extensive maintainance.

yeah, its seems to have had several problems since her commisioning. Me being the optimist, I hope the positives will still outweigh the negatives.

I agree, I think they just jumped the gun a little on this class, it needed more time for fielding.

I was jsut wondering because I had a cousin who was a seabee, but I was never sure exactly what her field was, (plus that was over ten years ago).

Sorry no I lived in Bremerton WA for 21 years and worked on a museum ship for two year so yes if say so.

yeah its a total mess, from what i read they have to send a crew out to the gulf where she is on station and do emergency repairs
