Another trainer design for the Greece inspired region idea from a video I saw on youtube. This leader a welder that creates automatons of pokemon, and would likely be a fire/steel type leader. Main pokemon would be a rapidash :D

Depending on what version of the story you read, Hera either threw him out of Olympus for being born deformed, or he was injured from being thrown out of olympus itself. Alternately, Zeus threw him out of Olympus for trying to shield Hera from being beaten. In any case ... Lame-ness is a major attribute. Of course your interpretation doesn't have to be. :)
He was described as being the ugliest of the gods, and taking into account the difference in the image of beauty now in western culture as compared to ancient greece, who tended to value a very smooth, pristine appearance, beards being nonexistent or very well-kept, what we consider "ruggedly handsome" they would've looked at similar to the typical hobo.
