Oh wow. I've been wanting to get work from you for ages, and at last I finally had some ideas that fit in your area of expertise. ;) This is an idea for much later in my timeline, but as soon as I thought of it I was in the right place to send you some work. :)
As far as the piece itself, I love the segmented look of the armor, that it appears like many small pieces built up together to form her armor, and I imagine if any piece breaks she can create a replacement in short order. I'd figure maintaining it is probably easier than forming it but once it's in place, it's quite strong.
I love the detail on the chainmail serving as the underlayer for her armor. Add to that the swath of fabric and the fingerless gloves and it's a fantastic look, truly. It exceeds my expectations and provides lots of inspiration for when she'll finally get to don that armor. I also like the look that it gives, it's actual functional armor, not at all like impractical female fantasy armor. Isabelle wouldn't be caught in something that didn't provide adequate protection. :)
It's an incredible design, and the pose is truly heroic. It's a little bit of femininity but conveying strength at the same time. She's not a vixen to be trifled with. ;)

Thanks! It was certainly fun designing it, I didn't really have any particular design in mind when I started, I just got the pose and kinda let the forms guide me to make all the individual pieces. I drew it as regular plate armor first and then turned it into ice during the inking and coloring stages - I would say it worked out well. ^_^
