Near the beginning of this year, I mentioned that I was trying to get into contact with the current owners of the Bubsy IP to see if they'd be down for a sincere reboot of an all but dead series.
Unfortunately, there hasn't been any response, much less any official rejection, but I'm still determined!
I think a full on project pitch might be in order to show I'm not JUST some random internet artist~

For reals. And that's why I'm kind of in a hurry to push the project first, if possible.
What I'm afraid of, though, is that most folks would want to push a "Remember this guy?" or "Washed up character trying to make a comeback" concept. Which isn't inherently bad, but it's definitely the go-to for most characters like Bubsy that's already been done by so many [and Bojack Horseman is absolutely owning it right now].

Thanks~
And while petitions might be somewhat beneficial, I've had my share of experience where signatures aren't enough to appeal to a company.
That's why I feel a pitch would help build a better case, along with maybe negotiating a trial period or pilot to test public reception.
