Those feathers look air brushed until you get to the edges!

Yeah, the 300mm lens tends to "fuzz" details... plus, I was shooting through a thin mesh screen. Gotta love those feathers, though. :3

I didn't mean airbrushed as in loss of detail, I meant airbrushed as in seemingly flat. The only way thing I can think of to compare what I'm talking about is those super detailed paint jobs you sometimes see on motorcycle gas tanks and such. Especially around the base of the neck with those cream colored feathers. It makes the eagle look like it's made of painted glass. By the way, is that an Immature Bald Eagle?

Yeah, he does kind of look "painted" now that you mention it. Nope, not a bald eagle... he's an adult golden eagle. :3
