"War" in "Warthog"

"I guess being a soldier is easier and funnier when you don't feel pain nor are afraid to die. So yeah. That's my job."
Beth was born with an illness ... She was enable to feel pain since forever. A great super power, some young heads may say, but a true curse in the harsh reality. She may break her leg and never notice it, burn her hand, break a tusk or even miss some finger ... She would not notice. Sure, no pain, hey, that's great ! But also no way to detect a problem on her body, leading to medical negligeance. Each second, she may die from a wound, a sickness that she did not even noticed. Definetly a curse.
But, she needed a job to earn her life, to find a home and not walk the streets endlessly. Lucky her, her father was a High graded military man who managed to make her daughter enter the ranks. He hidded the sickness to the medic's eyes and now, she is part of a commando, mainly composed of freaks, send on special missions that no one else would take.
