NOTE: This isn't the live version!!!
I thought I'd show you what I came up with for my first composition assignment, this is the piece done by Sibelius and vst instruments (scored for piano and violin)! I have no clue when the recording equipment should arrive (apparently the Uni has ordered new equipment and it hasn't arrived yet!)...
Of course this version won't sound anything like the 'coming-soon' version, because vst instruments can't do col legno, sul ponticello, sul tasto, or sliding between ponticello and tasto!!! The marked notes sound pretty good though...
Repeating the assignment:
"Write for one or two instruments using two to three chromatically consecutive pitch classes (for instance f and f sharp, or b, c and c sharp). Duration = 2-5mins."
I think I did well!

Ooooops. I have a mild criticism...
The first time I heard this piece, I thought that it was over at about 1:20, mostly because it had gotten very quiet. (The flash player often doesn't show how much of the song remains.)
A wide dynamic range is good, but a wide dynamic range doesn't always reproduce very well.
