Sunstone - feldspar

-Draws her power from the sun
-Weaker at night
-Possesses greater physical strength than most gems her size
-Visor able to shoot a concentrated heat lasor
-Able to make her skin shine very brightly to disorient opponents
-Able to superheat herself and objects in her possession (ie, her weapon)

Sunstone is a gem built for fighting. Strong, fast, and (quite literally) flashy, she’s actually most suited for entertainment fighting, but isn’t unheard of on the battlefield. Sunstones on Homeworld put on shows fighting in arenas with other Sunstones, Quartz, and Rubies. Think of them as Homeworld’s answer to a WWE wrestler.

When Earth was colonised, Sunstone was moved from Yellow Diamond’s court to Pink Diamond’s court, and moved to fight in one of the sky arenas on Earth. The fights here weren’t like the fights on Homeworld - here the opponents were organic animals. Sunstone found it difficult to fight living organic creatures to the death and so when the rebel Crystal Gems caught wind of her refusal to do her job, they found her an easy recruit.

Sunstone is about the same size as the Crystal Gem Pearl. Her original weapon is a spear, though it was upgraded to a mace by Bismuth later in her recruitment. She eventually falls for a Moonstone that she personally helps recruit.

Her personality is fun-loving, loud, and self assured. She enjoys being the center of attention and is usually fairly ready to take charge. Her signature grin is nearly always present. She does, however, lose a lot of her spark when the sun goes down, and becomes much more subdued.
