Angris is the capital city of Samur, a city of prosperity and progress. The heart of the Southern Church.
However every major city has its underbelly and Angris is no different, take one wrong turn and you'll find the poorer parts of the city where all the scoundrels and ne'er-do-wells have their dens.
In one particular shady rogues' den we find a trio of sairs gathered around a table, distrust hangs thick in the air.
Duncan, the biggest sair of the group glances down at the detailed map spread across the table and flatly states "NO", a deep frown on his dark furred face.
"What you mean No?" Azemn answers with touch of annoyance in his voice "We've gone through the plan and it will make us rich!"
Duncan looks over from his comrade and across the table sneering at the newcomer to the group "I refuse to work with a HERETIC"
The newcomer folds his arms and stares back, frost in his eyes. "I have name and it's Wayne"
Azemn sighs rubbing his black spotted forhead "Duncan, when did you become such a stickler for religious stuff? I seem to remember you didn't mind robbing those nuns a wile back"
The bulky sair snorts "Petty theft against the clergy is one thing but to burn the holy church itself is.. unspeakable." turning his gaze back to Wayne, the big sair sneers "I'm surpriced they let you live."

So this is a drawing I've had in the works for some time, ever since I encountered
diesel_wiesel intriguing bandit character Wayne I've been wanting to draw a fan art of him. http://www.furaffinity.net/view/17047207/ and http://www.furaffinity.net/view/17047148/
A wile ago I bought a awesome looking commission of diesel_wiesel and 
Volcanins where they redrew my medival bandits into sairs set in their world http://www.furaffinity.net/view/20362337/ .
So then I naturally had to draw a team up between my two bandits and theirs^^
To be honest I'm really pleased with the lineart but sadly the shading or colours came out flat and boring. I tried so many attempts on improving my shading but oh well, now I'm just sick of this drawing.

sure the shading is fine and detailed, but when you compare it to something like this http://www.furaffinity.net/view/17700610/ which was what I was trying to emulate, the shading comes off as rather dull and uninviting. it's okey, I just hoped to improve my shading now that I finally managed to draw lineart I'm actually proud of.

my honest oppinion here is that if the shading and coloring would be like in the linked pic you showed me, it wouldn´t describe the scenario very well, it would emulate a feeling of a fighting scenario. But the cold colors express the "cold relationship" bedween those two guys and the white guy in the middle tries to calm both down. the cold colors express distance, despising feelings, brewing hate, only at the brink of being noticeable.
You have done a perfect job to transport the correct feelings. A coloring like there would be something burning would express the danger too early.

oh I think you missunderstand, the drawing I showed isn't the best example but the idea was to have warm highlighting from a hearth or candle highlighting the people around, making the background more dark in contast but I just couldn't get that warm glow right so I removed it. now the shading is just kinda dull and grey, it works just fine but I want it to be better than fine, that's all
Oh, you finally finished it! D: And it looks really great, expecially we like your line. Good work with the anatomy, it's nice to see progress in your art :> And story, of course. It's quite authentic for our setting!

aww thank you so much! it means alot to me that you two like it^^ I did a lot of studying of the lineart you two use so I learned alot from there =)
I tried my best to write a authentic story as possible for your setting, which was hard when I know little to none about Waynes personality! (Hint hint: draw him more )
I figured sicne Wayne want his revenge for his markings and want to get out of the country he might associate himself with other shady people^^ Azemn is a resourceful sair who has contacts in the underworld so I'd figured he would offer Wayne a deal if Wayne helps out on a big heist. His partner in crime Duncan is less thrilled about the deal.
I was thinking they would kidnap someone important for ransom money, do you have any ideas of who that could be? I would love to continue on this little mini story =D

Answer: Sounds good, yeah? But not so good if your "master" is selfish, never shutting up upstart. And all your work is a free serving to him.

As we said before, Wayne was pardoned due his father(who is important person in Samur), and sent to the exorcist for ten years. Now he is quite apathetic to anything. Sure, he want to leave the continent, but we think that he will not try to escape from the exorcist. He is not so "bad boy" as before, and will not kill innocent people (x But, you can invent your alternative story, when Wayne suddenly got into some situation and left the exorcist :>
And what's about kidnapping... maybe some foreigner from the east continent, because borders are close for humble people!

ah interresting, I wanted to ask about that, I thought Wayne might not wouldn't want to kill anyone. I thought I might drew them kidnapping some importaint sair for money without killing anyone. well Wayne and Azemn would avoid needlessly hurting anyone. Duncan however... not so much =P
Wayne doesn't need to be a bad guy to be apart of this though, perhaps meeting these two bandits sparked some life into him making him want to take control of his own life again.
he could be still workign for the exorcist and just does this one heist as one time thing. he will be masked during the heist so no one should be the wiser about what he has done (if everything goes according to plan) ;)
