From how the minotaur covers his mouth, I imagine he's been warned by his wife before and is just now finding out she was serious. Of course the ropes are strictly necessary to prevent him struggling and accidentally hurting himself or her with his great strength, or I suppose that's what she might tell her son. At least both father and son should know to watch their language in future.

I must admit though when I first saw the thumbnail, I thought she was going to shave off the minotaur's beard, though I suppose that might be the punishment if he ever dares to curse again.
