HAHAH.
It is a pretty garden, really. Although I wonder where on earth that led to. I guess that stairtcase led up the cliff the monestary is built into.
Rather shocking lack of guard rails, though. Better not trip over or you're in for a very long and painful fall. Also probably death. I mean dang, the downward angle looks like that spiral staircase in Dark Souls that you jump off into the abyss to fight the four kings. That's a long way down.

Congratulations are in order.
There was a Dragonlace novel, that had a punchline that had me laughing loud for about a quarter of an hour while I walked from the train station home. I took a slightly longer route so I would not meet too many people.
I think I would have laughed at least as long at your punchline if not for two problems. It's 1 AM and I don't think my neighbours would be amused. Still can't stop smiling and have to hold back roaring laughter.
So, congratulations and thank you.
*respectful bow*

It wasn't the original trilogy, but a later novel with Caramon's kids. They got involved in the search for an artefact, that moves on it's own and only gods can stop it from movingand even they have to find it first, which is difficult even for them. It belonged to a dwarven deity, which lost it due him unable to resist gambling. Someone managed to catch the artefact and intends to use it to conquer the world or destroy it (I don't remember wich). They stop him and the god retrieves the arteface. The morning after the victory they ask the god to at least see the artefact all this trouble was about. The dwarven deity thell them not without embarrassment, that some people were gambling during the celebrations and he lost the artefact.
After all they went through that was so hilarious for me, I could not stop laughing for a while.
And no, the winner could not hold onto the artefact.

Gotta love fen's attitude
Also, sense you decided to do it on tumblr and because I love this song https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=otXGqU4LBEI

So many comments from so many viewers, and yet, barely any about what might be in the pond. And I'm pretty sure I know. Though I still have no idea what might happen next. Maybe Fen gets some answers to her questions? Or some insight into her powers? There must be a reason behind the chapter title, after all.
