A thunderous crash, the carpeted floor shaking in violent upheaval. A shadow that was all but deafening, the steady spread of oncoming darkness stunning Dhael into silence. Tiny feline in her thick combat boots and skintight shorts was forced to scrambled backward, away, just getting away, while that chipper neko boy lazily scanned the room.

“Honey?” the voice booms out with the force of a storm, leaving Dhael to wonder if she could smell his breath.

“I-I …” she tries to speak, at once frightened and pleased by the sight of her boyfriend. The benefits of being smaller than most mice while gazing from toe height are that she could see all of the places she liked looking at so very clearly. The underside of his feet, a new perspective on his thighs, to an extent she could see the scraggly hairs on his human legs and a bit of the inside on his shorts. Such a different color from the outside. But on the other hand he was a skyscraper come to life, able to flatten her at an instant’s notice. Cat-eared human who was clearly looking for her, looking right in her direction.

“Dhael, where’d you go? Honey?”

And perhaps most troublesome of all, he had no idea how close to his feet the neko’s girlfriend actually was. Otherwise he might not have taken that next step.
