Pffttt- Well if he's trying to stop murderers from doing whatever evil demonic thing he thinks they're doing (we know at least the secretary is willing to kill) then there isn't any particular reason to care about their stuff. Likewise every reason to not do things the normal way, the door could easily be trapped and a normal entrance would in theory allow people to prepare. Go alpha strike instead, charge in, get all eyes on you, surprise everything and get them to panic. If he was serious about this he'd already be swinging his sword while she yelled at him.

On the other hand, I suspect being shouted at for property damage and being weird is probably the first time this has happened to the guy, so the secretary just surprised him.
