Man, I used to not be able to get that song out of my head x3 Current worst song for not being able to get out of my head is "Poker Face" by Lady Gaga. Seriously, our radio plays that WAY TOO MUCH.

Never heard of it, but I'm not exactly a fan of Lady Gaga, so I might have heard it and just didn't know. And a few years back the radios played "Hey Ya" too much as well. That's why I don't listen to radios -- that and I don't like being told what I should like, which I feel like is happening. Anyway, it was long enough now that I can listen to the song and enjoy it again.

I have both of those problems, I'm forced to listen to "Classic hits" radio. It's basically the same 10 songs OVER AND OVER AND OVER AGAIN and very rarely are there any songs I like. And my boss tells me why I should like or hate certain bands and I just keep saying, I don't care what they do with their spare time, it doesn't change what the music sounds like... x.-.x

And, yeah, I'm that way too. It's like, when I hire a plumber I don't hire him because he is a good person and isn't a drunk or a crack whore or a pedophile or whatever on the side; I hire him because he's a good plumber. Giving lots of money to charity won't stop the crap fountain coming out of my toilet. It's the same with music -- I don't listen to a band because they participate in the March of Dimes or whatever and I don't don't listen to them because I know that they like to party a bit too much; I listen to them because I like their music.

As one wise person once said, if you have a problem with drugs, then you can throw out every single record you've ever owned, pretty much. Most of the really classic tunes were composed under the influence of some really strange stuff. x3

Thanks! That's sort of what I was going for, a sort of picture that, even though it's still, makes you want to get up and dance too. Even though it was fast and easy, I still am proud of this.

Hehe, well, I just downloaded a bunch of Outkast songs, so for right now they're a pretty heavy inspiration. I'm painting a landscape for my parents for their anniversary in April, and I was listening to Outkast during the setup process. Although, it got old, and I eventually switched to my standby: Carbon Leaf, a local band with a really acoustic, organic sound that also has a good beat, the best of both worlds. I absolutely adore them, especially the songs where the lead singer brings out his Irish whistle.

I've got a very ewll kown love for rock opera, operatic metal... or whatever you call it XD
My other big loves are musicals, (sondheim is my favorite composer/writer <3)
anything in 3/4 (especially if it's reletively modern *drooooool*) or particularly discordany... or jsut. ...weird.... XD
