It occurred to me after posting my Avrocar photo, that the close-up made it difficult to see its resemblance to a flying saucer. So here is a wider angle. This is going to scraps because it’s a basic tourist’s museum shot with railings, placards, barriers, and clutter on the back wall.

yep they might have used something stronger, just made a guess based on the time period (that stuff did exist back then, but i have some doubts on if they would do it for an experimental aircraft)
