i made this back in 04 when all i had was ms paint. so for all you "brats an losers" mocking people because they use ms paint.
I want to know what makes it so redundant of a program? is it your inability to use it? your lack of skill to use the simplest program around? or are you really not that adequate at art that you really don't know what you are doing so you have to use short cuts to do stuff. .
i say that because i see people who can do fantastic work in ms paint everyday an see another person mocking them because of what software they use. most people prefer to do things legally.or need fancy pants stuff to do the same as the pros.
ive seen pics done with a mouse others only wish they could do.
i made this an a yr latter i got a program that allowed layers i had no clue what layers were for it was such a complicated time for me then,. it makes things so much simpler but i still feel it sucks to use layers. to be honest i still haven't gotten the newer programs down as well as i know ms paint.
ofcourse my figures then wernt that good as i can get now but hey that was 4 yrs ago.
im done ranting for now

Its so true. Far too many people forget that its how you use a tool as opposed to the tool itself.
They forget that more complicated programs have a learning curve that actually restricts creativity rather than promote it and they forget that some of these programs are well over 2,000 dollars to obtain legally. Sometimes even the training to even learn such programs is often worth more than the program is itself.
People forget that technology has only existed for a short time and it is an exception rather than the rule. They also forget that some of the toys in the software they use have been so locked up in patents that they tie themselves to one piece of software and forget the basics. They also forget that going around such patents with alternate software risks a patent suit.
Those who forget to look beyond the software have forgotten what the basics of digital art are and are just showing their art school elitism. Their made to purchase the 10,000 or so dollars worth of software anyways if they expect to properly study so you really cant blame them. Perhaps a few progressive institutions could make people use paint to produce assignments to make them remember how locked up their toys are...
As for layers well its just another adobe patent from 95 or 96 that allows a person to play with layering without distroying the underlaying work. Before layers an artist would have to predetermine how he or she wanted to layer their work (the great masters) before they put a paintbrush to paper. Hence the "Undo" button.

I remember when I use to do image clean-up jobs of my own through MSpaint. Very time consuming as I basically scanned hand drawn images in black and white, then sent the image through MSpaint to refinish the linework filling in white pixels pretty much one by one =\ I really hated doing that, and I never understood why I did. Then I got my tablet and now I don't do things like that anymore. But I still remember before I had my tablet and carried OC sessions with friends (I'm pretty sure you were one) where I drew things with my mouse.
It just goes to show that you can do anything with whatever you got, whether you have Photoshop, MSpaint, OC, or some other digital art program with a tablet or a mouse; it just takes time, and patience to really pull something off to wow people.

Very Good. You know that Every pic I do is Started in MS Paint. The outlines And the Basic coloring. And Back Grounds. Unless I us a Back Ground done in Photo Shop. Then I take it to Photo Shop to Finish the Shading and all. So I have been
using MS Paint Sence 1997. So keep up the Good Work.
