The first part to my epicly huge story. Also may become a script for a movie, who knows. Still reconsidering the name as it sounds much like the comic book/video game (which I had just recently discovered), and may also be mistaken for the movie "Darkness". So a new name is also being considered. Anyways, first part to the whole thing.
EDIT: A new name has been decided, this is no longer going to be called "The Darkness", but going to be named, "Absence of Light". As a means to not intrude on the comic book/video game copywrite infringment.

Absence of Light
Prologue
~ By Trenton
The boy ran harder, and faster down the long, dark corridor, running to the end where bright light poured out from it. He ran for his life, running as hard as he could. His chest heaved and gasped as he ran out of oxygen, getting almost too tired to even breathe, but he still kept running. He huffed and puffed as he continued on to the light. His feet made soft slapping sounds as he ran down the corridor’s wet, stone floor.
He was only about a hundred feet away from it, from the bright light he wished for. He had a small smile creep up across his dirty face, covered in a strange black oily liquid. But his joy was quickly torn away from him when he heard loud beastial screams and howls come from behind him, echoing down the stone walls. He stopped for a moment, turning around looking into the darkness, and saw nothing. But he heard the sound of distant, far off hisses and screams, getting louder, and very quickly. The boy held an expression of pure fear on his face as he turned to run for the light.
He ran harder, faster, faster then he ever had before. His heart was beating in his chest furiously, feeling almost like it would burst from his under the strain of sending his blood throughout his whole body. As he ran, the howls and screams continued to get louder, almost sounding like as if what was causing them was right at his feet, nipping at him just short to torture him with fear.
He was now only thirty feet away from the light, so close, he could already feel its warm glow on his skin. He reached a hand out as he continued on, getting closer to it.
20 feet, the howls were echoing in his ear now, hearing them clear as day, overtop of his heavy breathing, and loud heart.
15 feet, he had to keep going, he almost had it, he reached his hand out further, trying to touch the light’s edge.
10 feet, he’d make it out, he would make it out for sure, and be safe.
Suddenly, he stopped progressing, no matter how hard he tried, he couldn’t make it to the light, he was so close now, only just 5 feet.
He struggled to run faster, but his feet weren’t even touching the ground. He felt something ice cold wrapping around his chest, holding him above the ground. He had an expression of pure terror on his face as the black tentacle constricted around his chest harder, making it difficult for him to take in the air his lunges screamed for so badly. His heart was racing, more like exploding every second it beat, he felt his temples and throat throb with the blood flowing so quickly. He reached out a bit further, leaning towards the light, wanting to touch its warmth, but the arm slowly pulled him back from the light, slowly taking him back into the darkness as he screamed for help, calling out to anyone who may hear him. But his shouts only seemed to echo in his head, making it hurt, giving him a splitting pain in his forehead.
As the tentacle slowly pulled him back from the light, the boy looked behind him over his shoulder, tracing the black tentacle back to its origin. He couldn’t see anything inside of the cold darkness. But he could hear faint hisses, and the sound of something slithering over the wet stone floor. He focused harder, soon seeing some motion inside of the inky black abyss. He saw slick, smooth skin slither slowly over a larger mass that the tentacle that held him tightly was attached to. This mass was a large and hulking pile of black tentacles that slid and slithered its way over one another.
But not all were just small tentacles, a few of them were much larger, and fat. They seemed more muscled, and seemed to be making hissing and growling sounds.
Just then, the boy was tugged quickly into the darkness, where the screams and howls echoed all around him. He felt something cold and wet run up his cheek, making him squirm and struggle under the attention. When the feeling stopped, the kid wiped his cheek off, feeling a cold wet liquid in his palm. He heard tiny, small hisses and squeals in his ear as he felt hot breath brushing up against them.
He turned his head slightly to see a small gaping mouth, hissing softly to him, dripping some sort of black liquid from its mouth. It hissed at him, and nipped the air in front of him, making him withdraw quickly, from fear of losing his nose.
Just then, a loud, booming roar echoed out throughout the stone tunnel, making the boy cover his ears. The tentacle mouths withdrew, and the large one that held him tightly around his chest loosened its hold on him, but only slightly, still not enough for him to escape.
The boy struggled to break free, but he still couldn’t. As the loud roar stopped ringing loudly in his ears, he heard another one, this time, not so loud, but sounded much closer. The boy looked up to see large white teeth gleaming slightly, reflecting the expression of fear on his face. He struggled more, yelling and screaming, hot tears ran down his dirty cheek as he felt fear rising up in him.
The large mouth withdrew slightly, a low growl coming from within its large throat. It hovered around him slightly, moving closer to him, watching the child as he withdrew every time the mouth came close to him.
The boy gasped sharply as the tentacle tightened its grip around him, making him cry out. Just as the large mouth jumped forward, taking the boy in its large, gaping open gash of a mouth, lined with a dozen pearly white teeth.

I had actually imagined it all as a giant movie playing in my head before I even thought of it as a story. And when the movie was about 15 minutes in, im like, "OMG! Im making this into a story/script!", hehe. Im going to finish the story before I do the script though, hehe.

I didn't read this because I thought I had to download it, my computer is mean to me when anything tries to get downloaded so I couldn't read this. Then I just noticed the "For those who don't wish to download it~" ...
