Synthetic "skin", artificial "muscle" fibers, and self-maintenance nanites, actually, but close enough really.

those "muscles" are probably one of the biggest overall weight-saving thing on her, since they don't need hydraulics to take space, and can be powered by her main power source. Also they are slightly stronger than human muscle tissue, so she is able to carry some oversized weaponry. Also not needing to actually look through the sights she is able to just carry them on the side.

Ah, but if it's not biological, then it's basically robotic and thus animatronic (lifelike robot).

Yeah, those kinds of "motors" are a big goal in robotics.
