And I suppose you could say she was lost in her unintentional delusions and confusion; her stress is making her worried or disoriented even than that IV may cause. But since she is lost in a labyrinth, she must brave the most difficult portions if she wishes to get out as truly whole as possible.

What I mean is, as scary as this is, (this coming from somebody whose only dealt with such drugs due to surgery....anesthesia), she'll come out of it feeling better but I'm not sure if she'll reunite with her surviving relative. It must have been Jack who changed things up...feeling horrible, thus suggesting the dementia cure.
Think the Doctor would notice pupils dilated, breathing irregular, and just a generally zoned out look ... oh well some people aren't that observant.
