there's an old joke from green acres that goes with the 2 speed auto gear selector in Ford company cars. It comes from the old show "green acres" eva gabor's character was taking driving lessons. went something like this She gets in, looks around and says "Oh! you have a "pernundle" My husband's car has a "pernundle" too!" finally they figure it out.... P R N D L. Since, it has come into use in my family to indicate a care is automatic equipped. Just thought you might get a chuckle out of that
