A quick badge for myself as an example of my hand-dyed badges. This badge looks so much better in person O_o I really like it in person, but not so much in the scan. It's textured paper, which helps. The edges are singed which makes for a nice aging effect. The paper was hand-dyed by me and it's watercolor, ink and guache.

I'm working on my lighting, I think it shows here. U;n trying to get out of the "omnilighting" problem in my previous stuff. I really like how the wings came out too, and the tail. The lettering is nice too, the white was an afterthought and I'm glad I added it because it really makes the letters pop!

I wish I had spent more time on the face in the sketch stage. It's not as noticeable in the original because the colors are brighter and more distracting but I should have spent more time making sure the eyes and ears were even. She's supposed to be tilting her head, but something in the eyes and her left ear is off. That said, I love her front paws; they really show an improvement over my earlier work. I feel I am getting stronger ^_^
