Something new! Not quite a fursuit head, this is a headdress. Those of you who LARP may be interested in this mask.
Wanted to try out something new and I made this on a whim for my AP art class. It's constructed with the top piece of a DVC large k9 resin base and features a top jaw. The fur is actually a rare grab from a local Hobby Lobby, I hate chain store furs but they had a bolt of shag so I had to snag some. Not quite the same length as the stuff online but excellent thickness.
Tried out a lot of new ideas or thoughts with this and learned from it too! The jaw is exposed, making this superb for those who want a fursuit but cannot wear them if their mouth is covered. It's hidden well enough that you won't be noticed unless you lift your head high yet you can still comfortably eat or drink with the mask on. It's very lightweight as well.
Overall I'm very happy with it, I'll be offering these as commissions in the future for those intrigued by the concept.

This is a pretty interesting idea. I'm not sure I'd wear one, but like you said in the description it's a cool option for someone who isn't able to suit with a completely covered mouth. When I first saw it I didn't even realize it had no lower jaw to be honest. Once again, a beautiful job!
It's better for roleplaying in or, like you mentioned, those who want a fursuit but have health issues that render them unable to wear something that restricts ventilation if not constructed properly. I get lots of props on both my realistic and toony heads for having great ventilation but hey, new option! 'v'

This is a true headdress, there is an opening and I mentioned that in the description. The photo does not show it off well due to the length of the fur and the poses shown (person taking the photos of me did not understand that when I asked for photos of my face, I actually wanted photos of my face).
