Hehehe you did pretty good! Though when you use the subject marker "wa" we actually use the hiragana は for historically reasons, it's one of the very few exceptions when reading Japanese. Tricky there.
And I think you might have meant 暑い ( hot as in weather hot) instead of 厚い ( thick)?

Well it depends on who is saying it, daisuki,大好き does mean love, and it can be the romantic or just normal type love, like ウオフイイはコーヒーが大好きです。 but some people will also just use すき as love, like my husband. Which for the longest time I was all sad because I'd say I'd love him, and he'd just say すきですよ back,... And I was a sad poof thinking he was just saying,,, I like you. But he WAS saying I love you... Took watching some Jdrama to realize my mistake! Haha
But very few use 愛している (あいしている) the more heavy form of love.
