Cassandra swan slow circles in the pool, her long and voluptuous form easily sliding through the water. Occasionally she looked up, her eyes scanning for that someone special to arrive. The snake smiled to herself at the thought of Ric. The wombat was her special friend. The one boy who loved her for who she was and not just her body. Movement caught her attention, and Cassandra glanced over. A familiar figure came into view, and she quickly ducked down, submersing herself in the water. Her Ric was here. She waited, tucked in against the side of the pool, peering up out of the water. She saw Ric step up to the pool edge, the wombat looking about, but not down. He called out, his voice sounding funny to her as she lay in wait under the surface.
"C-C-C-Cass? Are you h-h-h-here, Cass?"
Cassandra surged upwards, propelled by her tail. Water splashed everywhere and Ric cried out in surprise. The snake grabbed her lover, hugging him tight to her body, and together they fell backwards. Cassandra kissed her wombat, keeping him from drowning until they resurfaced, and she loosened her grip.
"H-h-hi, Ric," she said, her stammer matching his. "I'm glad y-y-you could make i-i-it."
Ric blushed a bright red as he realised what had just happened. He hugged back, kissing the snake tenderly.
"H-h-hi, Cass," he said softly. "You r-r-really got me t-t-t-there."
The pair nuzzled.
"I'm g-g-glad you could c-c-c-come, Ric," Cassandra replied.
The serpent slide back, undulating through the water as she circled the wombat.
"Do you l-l-like my new b-b-b-bikini?"
Ric nodded.
"It looks g-g-great on you, C-c-c-ass."
Cassandra blushed, smiling shyly. Once more she wrapped her arms around her wombat and pulled him in close, kissing his nose. He was so special to her, and she would do anything for him. And she knew he would do the same for her. The snake gazed lovingly into Ric's eyes and counted her blessings. The day she met him had been the luckiest day of her life...
