i am in the US Army (regular) serving in korea. its not easy but if you apply yourself its not unbearable. the ROKA is very different, they have a KATUSA (Korean Augment To United States Army) program and some of their soldiers are mixed into US Army units. i have a KATUSA in my section and am friends with many of the KATUSAs in my unit.
Yeah, but you're talking to one of the locals who go to international school. And all of us are educated enough to realize our country's shit right now (read the papers) and my generation is hardly patriotic and the philosophy among us is "This country sucks, if we stay here our intellect will be wasted. As soon as you can leave overseas for the US or Europe and eventually gain citizenship" sad as it may be, but the educated (not brainwashed) teens of my generation all agree that this country sucks, it's going to the dogs and are all setting goals for moving overseas. Plus, we could be in college for those 2 months.
