Holy Zombie Jesus! Look at that snake! And the rest is awesome too. ;)
Very impressive work. Great composition, detail, and coloring. But do you think it actually looks anything like you? *has never seen a picture of you so doesn't know what you look like* Most artists who do self portraits are often disappointed it doesn't look anyting like them. (I tend to draw my eyes too far apart. >.<)

The marker is mostly Copics with a little Tria (I have a nice warm greyscale in trias, and a few other colors that the Copic set A just doesn't cover). The colored pencil is both prismacolor and polychromos, as each set has different colors and color properties. The digital is just photoshop. =)
Yeah, prismacolor markers just really don't cut it. ^___^ This is mostly Copics (I have set A) and a little Tria (as described in my response to Kilo, right above this). The secret here, is that I didn't use white paper. See that light pink on the face? That's the paper color. XD
Colored paper is great as a starting tone, because it leaves a lot of room to play around with color schemes, and you don't really have to worry about color unity, it happens automatically. And if you do it right, hardly anyone would know it if you didn't tell them. ^__^

Oooh!
Thank you so much for the explanation and tips. I've used colored paper before...(in fact, on my last upload here), and I do like it a lot... but I never dreamed that something could look so damn amazing with colored paper and markers. I'll take your word about prismas vs. copics (since I've never used copics). I think it also has to do with the fact that you're a god when it comes to coloring and shading in general. ;)
