Had a story years ago called "The Coyote Howls at Midnight." in which a coyote spy, sort of a cross between FBI and CIA recruited her as a partner. In the first story they were up against a 20ft mech suit. She created, animated, piloted a giant ice vixen that shw ran like a suit.
While this has nothing to do with that, it did remind me of it.
