Dragon, phoenix and gryphon, dancing in the sky in unison
By
windfalconart commissioned online May 2016, picked up at Anthrocon 2016. Pencil and watercolour. Actual measures 13"x13".
The phoenix, dragon and gryphon are my feather/scalesonas Zarya, Orca and Sora.
For a long, long time I'd been dreaming of commissioning an epic traditional work of art that included these three critters that I associated with on a deeply personal level, but didn't have any visual representation of (save for the gryphon, which was easiest to portray). Windfalcon's incredible skill and ability brought them to life in ways beyond my wildest dreams. The original hangs framed in my crafting room, providing inspiration and determination to craft suits representing each into reality, beginning with Sora.
My Epson large-format scanner wasn't big enough, and doesn't quite do the colour depth and sharp lines justice.
How do they avoid getting tangled up in flight? MAGIC
