The purpose of these was to allow myself to "loosen up" with how I sketch. I've been piling a lot of unnecessary stress on myself with my sketching expectations.. I just want to be able to enjoy drawing again. If I am unable to, then I seem to hate all of the results that I come up with..
In my most recent journal entry, I explained it a bit more.
I didn't allow myself to spend a lot of time on the sketch, so that I could avoid getting hung up on "mistakes" (which is something that I have been doing a LOT) and I went as fast as I could with the inking process.
We'll see if speed-sketching helps me more in the future... It also seems to help me a great deal when I have a lot of freedom with the theme.

wow, I really like how this came out, hun! The thick fur that you defined looks very soft. I'm going through the same thing right now, trying to get myself to loosen up because i'm being too stiff a lot of the time, which thankfully isn't showing up in the art itself so much now (thankfully). Is this inks? I'm curious what kind you use. ^_^
Gosh, thank you so much!! Drawing (up until this point) has been a miserable experience over-all, which is BAD, you know? I need to find that joy again... If I can't get joy out of drawing, then I might as well stop drawing all together.
But, creating this was certainly a joyful experience, and I know that at least some of that joy was derived by allowing myself to go FAST, instead of taking it slow and trying to criticize every little thing, building up silly stress, etc.. x_x; (Sorry about rambling..)
Yes, this is inks. :D I used one of these almost primarily: http://www.jetpens.com/product_info.....oducts_id/1793
But for some things (like the bowl of fruit, for example), I used one of these: http://www.jetpens.com/product_info.....oducts_id/2042
For the white parts, this: http://www.jetpens.com/product_info.....roducts_id/531

ooo thanks for the links! Oh hey I have a gelly roll white! I will need to try that out some time. Also I see you like Sakura hehe. Have you ever seen their Sensei pens? They're hard to find, but they don't bleed on anything, not even on skin (I always test my inkers for that) https://www.currys.com/catalogpc.ht.....RY=A261B000382 I found them at Hobby Lobby once. But yes, Microns are awesome, no doubt. ^_^
You have the most amazing detailed textural lines. I still love them. I like them in t he application of this piece, it works with the composition, dense lines in some areas and then open again. I like your solid white accents too.
The composition of the filling in this piece really appeals to me. Nice work!
