Here's the first of the two images I said I would upload. =3
I had to model, texture and light a subway station. We were given roughly 3-4 weeks to complete and turn in the assignment and this was the first of the two scenes I turned in for my project.
I'm so happy with the final result, but scene 2 (which I'll be posting a little later) is my favorite of the two. =D

Heh, not bad. Was the assignment to make it as low poly as possible? I'm just asking because things are a tad boxy is all. You could round them all off pretty nicely but it would take some polys. I dunno how advanced you are with 3D though heh. Nice work on the textures though, I like those.
We had no poly limit really but I was trying to keep it a reasonable amount hence why a good amount of detail is from diffuse, bump, and specular maps. =) This is only my second class doing 3D so I'm not extremely advanced or anything but I get what you're saying I do wish I had rounded it some more. I should have probably put some smoothing groups on things like the columns and the seats to help with the rounding effect.
Also thank you on the texture compliment, 2D was always my initial forte so texture work just comes a little more natural for me. =)

What you should try for fun is add a sky light to the scene, check the Cast Shadows check box and see how it looks when you render it. It will take a long time to render, but sky lights make things look freakin awesome lol. This is assuming you're using 3D Max, I honestly don't know if they have that light in any other 3D apps as I only use 3D Max.
We use 3DSMax at my school too so I know what you're saying. I never thought of that actually. I might have to experiment with that. =D
Also render time isn't a problem for me I built my desktop at home, which I use to render, to do it quickly so it takes a lot less time than one might expect. =)
Thanks for the tips dude.
