Date Commissioned: February of 2014
Date Completed: March of 2016
Did they meet your Deadline? No. They were given 2 different deadlines and neither were met.
Price Paid: $450
Do you have prior Experience with Fursuits? No, this was my first suit.
Are you Reviewing a Friend? No.
Did you tell the maker about any issues you've had? Yes.
Type of Commission: Originally a fullsuit - was later on switched to a partial.
Fursuit:
Head
How satisfied are you with the fit of the head?
Is it too tight or loose? Does anything poke you, stab you, make it uncomfortable to wear? Is it Lined comfortably?
Satisfied.
The head fits pretty well. I never gave any measurements, but the head fits me comfortably.
How satisfied are you with the vision?
Can you see well in front of you? Is there a large blind spot? Do you have to turn your head to see? (Note that most suits do not have peripheral vision)
Satisfied enough.
The eyes are made out of foam and a mesh. I can kind of see what's directly in front of me, but nothing to the sides.
How satisfied are you with the ventilation?
Can you breathe well? Is the mask stuffy? Does the air circulate through your head?
Not satisfied.
The bottom muzzles hangs there barely open, and I can barely breathe out of it. I constantly have to take breaks from wearing the head due to poor ventilation.
How satisfied are you with the symmetry of the head?
Are the eyes or ears lopsided? Are the markings symmetrical per character design?
Kind of satisfied.
Almost everything is symmetrical, except for the markings under her eyes. On one side, the marking in closer to her eye. On the other side it is not. I can very obviously tell that it is not symmetrical and it bugs the hell out of me.
Is the Shaving even?
Can you see the backing? Is it choppy? Is the transition to long fur what you were looking for?
The shaving is okay in most areas. There is one area on the forehead where it was shaved too far though. Also, the ears are HORRID. The shaving on the ears was done with scissors, and is very choppy. I'm going to have to reshave them myself.
How satisfied are you with the expression and overall appearance of the head?
The expression is cute, but the ears aren't puffed out enough (basically they both are parallel to each other and you can barely see them when the face is straight on). I do, however, love here eyes and mouth expression.
Hands and Feet
How satisfied are you with the fit of the hands and feet?
Will your wrists/ankles show is you stretch too much? Do they stay on your hands or do they slide off? Can you put them on comfortably with ease?
Not at all satisfied with the arms.
They were made to a small size, making even my good hand have to squeeze in. I have an injury on my left hand, making the thumb significantly larger. The maker has not catered to this at all. The right hand stays on.
Unsatisfied with the feet.
While they fit despite the maker not getting measurements, they are heavy and uncomfortable, with parts of the feetpaws digging into my own feet.
How satisfied are you with the quality of the hands and feet?
Has anything come undone or fallen apart? Have any pawpads or claws fallen off?
Unsatisfied
A claw came off the feet at the lightest touch. No other claws had that problem. They are really heavy and uncomfortable. The hands seem durable, though the fur on the tips of the fingers seem to have been just cut off, making a sharp edge to the fur. No claw damage.
Tail
How satisfied are you with the quality of your tail?
Is it too cumbersome? Can you pull on it without tearing? Are the straps secure and even?
I received two tails. The first, was the dragon tail. The quality of it is fine, but the end of it (the black spike at the end) was not stuffed and I myself am going to have to fix that. The entire tail itself was sent to me unstuffed because it was (quote) "cheaper to ship without the stuffing". So I had to go out myself and purchase stuffing for the tail. The second tail was the deer tail. That, I love. No complains whatsoever on that tail.
How accurate to your concept art is your tail?
The deer tail was perfect, but the dragon tail was not. I only had five stripes on my tail and she put six. It's whatever but I basically had to change my character to go with my suit.
Arm/Leg Warmers/Sleeves:
I received the top part to my arms. The bottom part (the paws included) was never sent and never will be.
How satisfied are you with the quality of your sleeves/warmers?
Are they too cumbersome? Can you pull on them without tearing?
The arms are rushed. They do not fit whatsoever. Also, the top of the sleeves were left once they were cut. There was so effort to smooth the edges.
How accurate to your concept art are your sleeves/warmers?
Did they get all the markings? Are the colors accurate?
Yes everything is fine. Except they don't fit and I don't even have the full arm sleeves.
General
Visual Aspects
How satisfied are you with how closely the suit matched the concept art?
If there was none, please state N/A
Satisfied.
Besides my suit not having the hair, I am satisfied with how it matched the concept art.
How satisfied are you with the consistency of your suit to the makers style?
Semi satisfied.
Her personal suits are higher quality. My suit was very obviously rushed.
Construction
How satisfied are you with the overall quality?
Are all the seams durable? Has anything fallen apart? Are there any holes?
Not satisfied.
By my second wear of my head, there was already a huge hole in the seem of the ear, as you can see here: https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-5feEyKbY.....36731131_n.jpg
I sewed the hole, but I was very upset it had holes already. Also, the tongue is velcroed into the mouth. Immediately the velcro came off and I was forced to fix it.
How satisfied are you with how well everything fits together and matches up?
Do you markings match up at the seams? Are the colors consistent?
Kind of satisfied.
The markings do not match as I mentioned before. The colors are consistent but there is a huge flaw with the markings obviously not matching up.
Communication
How satisfied are you with how easy it was to initially contact the maker for a quote?
Did they take an unreasonably long time to respond?
The make originally contacted ME letting me know she made suits. Later on I agreed to go with her as my maker. She was quick to respond when it came to a quote and payment. Other things, not so much.
How satisfied are you with the response time from the maker?
Completely dissatisfied.
This is where I get very angry. It took my maker MONTHS at a time to message me back. I would constantly message her over and over again with no responses. The only way I got her to respond was with threats and artist bewares. 0/10 for communication. Honestly for two years I was just incredibly stressed out thinking she was just going to take my money and dip out.
How satisfied are you with the level of professionalism and friendliness of the maker?
Were they pleasant to work with?
Completely dissatisfied.
She would constantly make excuses as to why there was no progress made (ie. Fighting with her boyfriend, being sick, etc.). I understand things in life come up, but she was making excuses after months of not responding. She was very unprofessional the entire time, and sounded more like a friend than a professional maker. We were and are not friends. I am paying her for a service.
Overall
How satisfied are you with how the deadline was met for completion of your project?
Were any deadlines missed or was it done early?
Dissatisfied.
I gave two separate deadlines. The first was in October of 2015, and I actually sent her an additional $50 for shipping so I could have it by a convention. I never received it for the con. The second deadline was January of 2016. It again, was not completed.
How satisfied are you with the overall quality of your project?
Dissatisfied
She looks pretty, but there are so many issues and design flaws. I did not pay and wait two years for this half-assed partial commission.
How satisfied are you with the overall customer service with the maker?
Completely dissatisfied.
She was not professional in the slightest. She gave me stress for two years and delivered a rushed product.
Describe your Experience. Pros, Cons, or any Final Comments
I did everything in my power to be understanding with her circumstances, and many times told her not to worry about anything. But with her taking so long with my commission, and her not responding hardly ever, this commission was a complete nightmare.
My suit is rushed and there is a lot of work that I will have to either do myself, or pay someone else to do. She offered for me to send the suit back so that she could fix it, but since it was so stressful to get her to even finish my commission, there was no way in hell I was going to be sending it back.
Yes, she made me an extra tail to make up for the missed deadlines, but I STILL and WILL NEVER receive everything that was promised to me. I will not see my fursuit paws, making the top of my arms completely useless.
RaveBinxx claims she is no longer taking fursuit commissions and honestly? Thank god. I don't want ANYONE to have to go through what I did with her.
Her and her boyfriend both claimed me being upset with my commission was me "harassing her". I've blocked them both on social media, and hope to have no more further contact.
Final Score
Please pick a score that you feel honestly reflects your commissioning experience as a whole. Including the quality of your product, the appearance and how you were treated by the maker.
F.
Complete failure. I love my suit because it's my character, but when I look at it I reminded about 2 years of having to deal with complete bullshit.
A+ = Product and maker surpassed all expectations, absolutely no flaws at all.
A = You had a great experience, product and maker were awesome.
B = Some minor flaws but still a good experience.
C = Average experience: Room for improvement
D = More went wrong then right. Would not recommend.
F = Complete failure. Unwearable product.
I do NOT recommend RaveBinxx to ANYONE looking for fursuit related things. She is unprofessional, rude, and WILL turn things around on you to make herself the victim.
Thank you so much for reading my review.

Only just now found this. I had a very similar experience with this maker. We used to be good friends, hung out together irl, went to cons, and so on. That all fell apart after a two-year wait of my own. Long story short, she ended up refunding me everything* but the cost of materials, sending me some scrapped together handpaws and a bag of foam that vaguely looked like a head, and stealing $900 from me that she claimed to have never received despite my bank statements proving otherwise.
This all happened around the same time period, 2014-2016.
We are no longer friends.
