I feel like bite force and tombstone will be the death of the show. When was the first time, he did it with nothing but a pair of grappling arms yes. Frankly, it was amazing. Season 2 came around, and he switched his weapon to a generic spinning drum, and frankly it feels like the drivers True Colors showed. I even noticed the driver has been very Cutthroat, destroying robots when they're already down. I think I've seen him do it three times, but the only time I've absolutely remember seen him doing it was against hypershock. I feel like both bite force and Tombstone have established themselves as villains, and the creators of BattleBots may find that their franchise can only go so far if the bad guys keep winning in.

Battles like this year's are what make the sport work as a whole. The active weapon rule is so that there's less chances of a fight being boring.

Yeah, but to be honest, I thought I'd be pleased as punch just because Tombstone didn't win, yet I can't help but feel bothered that bite force one it again as Cutthroat as I've seen them play.

Well they've been much better than last season, where the weapon didn't seem to do much. The thing about this season is that bots were having to face more bots than they would've ordinarily. In a regular season, Tombstone would've probably been in the finals as Bombshell would've been out.

I mess when they had four weight brackets. If I didn't like the winner of one weight bracket, there was always the other three. Now, there can be only one, and it's usually going to be one of the more boring robots.

Well I don't see any boring robots in the reboot. Plus, even if they don't have an active weapon, that doesn't mean they're going to make for a boring fight. Original Sin is proof of that.

Honestly, I think both bite force and Tombstone are pretty boring. Tombstone is just a gray metal box with a spinner and Tombstone written on it, which is insulting considering its predecessor last rites had actual artwork on it, and bite force is just a vertical spinner with a somewhat lazy looking white and blue paint job.

Well simplicity is what works in this sport. Tombstone hits hard and hits often and that's why it's become my favorite, notably during its near defeat with DUCK!

I don't believe something should be a hundred percent function and 0% form though. I feel like the robot that is fun to watch is the robot that is also cool looking, which is why I don't dislike carbide as much. I mean, it's kind of just Tombstone Junior, but the people who made carbide at least put effort into the paint job. For some reason, Bite Force looks like they use really cheap paint for their robot.

The point is you don't have to sacrifice looks entirely to make a powerful robot. Giving Tombstone a cool paint job would not make it perform worse.

Yeah but a cool looking robot won't necessarily win fights. Bite Force I believe wasn't even repainted from last season.

I'm just saying that a robot doesn't need to look boring to win fights.

I suppose, but I look at just about any other robot in the competition, and it looks like just about everyone else put more effort into the appearance of their robot. I know it's an opinion, but still.

And, again, I wouldn't exactly call Doctor Inferno Junior simple, yet it still won fights.
