Drayk for pretty much the entirety of his life has been forgetful, absentminded, and downright mentally inferior compared to pretty much all of his friends and peers. Surprisingly a Step-up in mental prowess from the Class of Shurian Drones the Shurichi from which Drayk is a biological defect of.
So it's no real surprise that even though Drayk has in the past enjoyed ice cream, and experienced brain freeze, that won't stop him from occassionally repeating past mistakes such as opting to take bites of ice cream intead of mere licks. In part giving himself the well known effect of Brain Freeze which causes him physically visible side effects of near momentary paralysis as the chill from said ice cream renders the poor minded Shurian motionless and struggling to regain control of himself while the ice cold sensation vacates to normal temperatures.
Abyssal has seen this happen a couple times. Being the wonderful friend that he is will "on occassion" be kind enough to remind Drayk beforehand how to safely devour his treats. At least for the sake of Drayk's clothes.
And you all wonder why Drayk is in such high favor for something like hot cocoa when things like Ice Cream punish him so.
