Disclaimer: Model was like 3" taller than the client so arms and legs are a little weird. Should look great on the client though!
Oh man oh man oh man a shark a shark a shark. I am so excited that I got the privilege of working on a shark. AND A TIGER SHARK TO BOOT. Shark is like, top three animals for me. And tiger shark is tied for top shark(with mako) for me. I always wanted a shark character. I might make one now. Once I'm not fat maybe. So this guy was a LOT of fun to make. I got to do some muscles and work in a new type of fleece. Oh man, so many stripes too. Mostly sewn, but there's a few super thin airbrushed ones mixed in there for blending. Wasn't sure how I'd feel about the hair, but I got to spend all night with a shitload of old timey hair curlers and kanekalon and it proved pretty fun. And that dorsal fin was my favourite thing to make :O All three of his fins are pretty firm, no floppy fins here! I also love the tail. I love how he has the whole back profile of a regular shark XD ahahhaahldkfjalskjdflaksjdf i love this

Wooow this is awesome!! It looks so smooth for blizzard fleece! I'm looking to make a full suit for my shark partial. it's made on anti pill. I am going to try to make a new suit out of short pile fur, but I don't know if it's going to look weird ^^;;

Back when anti pill was super high pile and dense it worked GREAT but now its all so freakin thin it shows seams just as bad as broadcloth :/ Very dissapointing. Haven't been able to find any mills that make anti pill in a reasonable texture for suit purposes yet. Hopefully soon!
Honestly I'd swap to blizard- it tends to be higher loft than the anti pill and hides seams a lot better and you can brush it out a bit(Gently!) to help :)

I just counted them up haha XD 44 for me! Although I sewed the back stripes in 2 sections instead of one each so TECHNICALLY 51 but who's counting? XD Getting to use a little airbrushing to make the small ones helped me stay sane, totally XD If I had to sew ones the size of a pencil I'd be freaking out haha.

It is so hard to pick a particular species. I love bamboo sharks, tiger sharks and all the bottom dwellers are pretty cool, and the amount of time the black tips come up around here and say hi it's just funny by now, but threshers and their adorkable eyes and those tailllssssss. Urgh, so many to love. I kind of want to mix sharks too, but so many people just go 'its a great white because it's a shark, right?' *rambles* okay I like sharks.
