Magnus the treasure hunting meerkat returns in "Kat-Venture and the Mountain of Death", a comic book adventure and the sequel to last year's "Kat-Venture and the Terror of Xibalba"! Once again it is a collaboration between myself and David Whamond.

This book was started in January and I'd already decided whilst I was doing the first book that since book 1 was set primarily in the hot and steamy jungles of Mexico, that the next adventure should be set somewhere cold and icy. Initially I thought of Siberia, before deciding on Nepal with it's huge mountains and it's close proximity to the mystic far east.

The story essentially revolves around Magnus and his new civet friend Rekha venturing to the Annapurna peaks to discover a dangerous artifact and rescue Rekha's younger sister who has been kidnapped by a savage death cult. I think I enjoyed this story a lot more, as it has more characters (including actual villains this time) and a bit more backstory to them as well.
