In the world of insomnia, The patch worker is one of the gods of death that travel between death,life and dreams.The patch worker however has settled down to fufill a different duty than that of the other death gods,it has created a sanctuary deep in mists of the vaugest memories and cares for the souls of dead infants and stillborns there,it sews them new identiys to sheid their egoes and lets them grow up as thoughts instead,it teaches them about death life and rebirth, and the gentler ways of the world
the patch worker embodies not only death, but creation, birth, nurturing,and reincarnation
thoughts who's identitys are wearing down are more than willing to seek out the patchworker to be mended than to become another part of the kings machine

the eniter being costume and all are one entity, even so, they seem to have
different personalitys at times, the hood and the head will often argue with eachother,gloom(the hood) tends to spout mildly depressing remarks, much to the dismay of the patchworker.at times the patchworker will become so cross with gloom that it will either hold it's mouth shut or vise versa and struggle to pry gloom open so it may talk
the snake head on then of gloom is harmless and tends to loom about displaying a curiosity,often when seeking to repair somebody's identity the patchworker will keep about it;s buisness while thimble(the hood's snake end) inspects them thouroghly. thimbles mouth is full of spools of thread and fabrics of all different colors and patterns, the patchworker uses thes at its leisure to craft whatever it has to
