This started out as just a practice sketch, which I turned into a painting practice, which I turned into a full painting. This got WAAAAY more involved than I wanted it to. I'm glad I finished it though, because I know I'm not yet ready to do full paintings. I need to work on technique a bit more so I can be consistent. I have a few ideas that I'll be practicing soon.
