"Looming specter in the mist
revenant from an abyssal rift.
Silhouette of shifting dusk,
echo of some withered husk."
---
I've been working on this a while. It was something of a prelude to the 'dark' days that seized me a couple days ago, and other stuff sorta pushed it aside, leaving it buried back a couple pages in my notebook. I'll say that this might suffer from a common error of mine - the mistake of overcorrection, but like a mistake in ink, it can't easily be erased.
An idea came to me last night that let me finish this. I'm glad to see it done, as it'd been lingering in the back of my mind, the last fragment before I could try to move on from my melancholy. If only emotions were predictable enough that I could promise that, but I can alas only hope.
Thanks for reading. Comments/critique welcome, as always. The next part of the Parable will come in the coming days, once I have a break from school long enough to let me really focus on proofing it. I'm not certain I'll ever be satisfied with that particular piece, sorry I'm taking so long to unveil it in it's entirety. Til then.
