So a while ago, 
did a small backstory of their DutchAD, Dew, on the DutchAD FB Community page (it was a really great read!), and it had inspired me to finally do Riete's! So here it is! (A bit of a long read, sorry lol)
When the Dutch Angel Dragon war happened, Riete was still but a "young" Dutchie - she was still pretty innocent, learning the ways of Paradise and finding her place. Of cause like all the other Dutchies, and being very naive in what was happening around her, she became loyal to the Ancient One like the others, and blindly followed the others.
When the war ended, she got banished from Paradise along with the others - being young though, she hadn't learnt fully how to control her powers, to fly, her being... so when she was cast to Terra, she reached the ground pretty harshly, becoming badly injured. She had crashed near what looked like a forest, within a "crater", lost and alone.
She didn't really understand what happened, or why it happened, being such a young being from Paradise. She also noticed that she was different... her colour had darkened slightly, and she could no longer see the ring marking on her muzzle.
A few days later a lost, confused, upset, hungry and weak Riete was found by an odd, pink creature and white. She had no idea what this creature was, who was almost the same, small size as her, but felt too exhausted to move away. This pink creature was a hybrid of a unicorn and dog, a "unidog" - she was curious of Riete more than scared of her.
"You a unicorn hybrid too?" Asked the small, child-like voice, pointing to her small horn with a paw.
Riete of cause didn't answer, out of weariness and tiredness. The hybrid shrugged.
"Hey, you okay? You look hurt - did something attack you?" No reply. "I guess you don't understand me... no biggy!"
Riete couldn't stop the hybrid when she was being grabbed and, in a somewhat struggle of strength, thrown half onto the other's back - hind legs being dragged on the ground as they moved (both walking on all fours and all).
"My village isn't too far from here, it's hidden in the forest here!" The pink one said in a cheery voice. "We have a healer there, like my mum! My mum can heal you all up, and then maybe our Kirin Chief can help you get back home!"
That's when everything hit Riete like a wave. The war, the outcast, her family and home... as if an imprint had been left on her mind, a reminder of her punishment, the banishment, the reason as to why she could no longer...
"I..." Came the rasping voice that made the other stop walking. "...Can't ever go back..."
"Oh..." Was all that came. "I, um, sorry..."
Silence. Walking started up again.
"U-uh...um, My name is Amitola, b-but you can call me Sparkles if ya want! Or Unidog, whichever - it's what most of the others call me anyway. What's your name?"
An unsure blink. But... "...Riete. I'm Riete Affectus."
Amitola scrunched up her muzzle. "Ugh, that's way to long for me. So Rie-Rie it is!"
Riete gave a groan while putting her head down on the back of Amitola's head... though a small smile appearing slightly.
Everything was going to be okay...
She was going to be okay...
...Okay...
The art that the awesome Nimbus created made Riete look more like a young Dutchie to me, so thought it would be the perfect art to use for this! As you can see, she has lighter fur and less "mane hair" on her, along with a silver horn and spikes. She also has the muzzle ring, as dated pre-war Dutchies had before they were cast away from Paradise.
She's becoming part of a story noval I'm working on to do with the world my fursona, Amitola (Sparkleunidog) lives in, so thought the end of the war and being banished would of been perfect timing for the two to meet, seeing as I wanted Riete to have been found and "raised" in Sparkle's village for the two to grow up together somewhat.
