You really are getting better! Using refs can help you improve a lot sometimes, I'm glad it's helping you! I've only used refs a few times during artist's block, but other wise it didn't help me at all, but it doesn't always help everyone, so I'm glad you're finding ways that help YOU improve. It's good to see you haven't given up yet, cause some people do, heck I've felt discouraged and unmotivated enough to give up yet, but the fact that it's the only useful talent I have that has that much raw potential in it that makes me keep going.
<3 I love your style and if anything that should keep you going
=3 I'm not a fan of refs for furry art, my style (for furry stuff) is general overly optimistic and slightly unrealistic XD so I try only to use refs to see how body parts look on their own
not in this case >.> but we'll see how I like them =3

Daww... thanks, you're so sweet and supportive. |3
Even in cartoons(ie: The Fairly Odd Parents), proper proportioning skills are required, so whether it's from a real live model, a picture of a real person, or even another artist's piece of artwork, ref pics can really help with the proportions and positioning of the imaging your trying to draw sometimes.
Hopefully it'll turn out like you want it, but so far I think it's looking really good. >:3c
