Nah I say that because every character in the crew has a nationality if they were from Earth. Luffie would be Brazillian (yay same place!), Sanji would be French, Nami I believe was Norwegian, I forget, Robin I believe was Russian, Usopp I legit cannot remember, Chopper would be Canadian, Brook was I wanna say British but my brain is saying upper Europe, again can't remember, Zoro would be Japanese and Franky American.
So its funny to imagine what they would be like. I say poodle cause poodle is a French breed! lol I'd probably see Zoro as a dragon, he really fits it. And Nami would definitely be a fox.

yes, you said everything right. i remember that on colored page Sanji was goat, but in interview he was duck. Pretty ironical, since duck doesn't have arms XD
Well, if choose OP as dogs, poodle suits awesome! They look pretty elegant and big breeds looks strong enough too :3 Not sure how i imagine Sanji as any type of animal..well, fox sounds OK for him too, since he is pretty clever too :P Yes, Zoro is for sure dragon! maybe tiger, since they are popular in japan culture too.
and Nami fox for sure :D this all makes me remember that I drew some Bleach-anthro long ago...uhh it was my first paintings <3

Idea with Chopper sounds awesome :3 For Robin I can think about russian blue cat. Actually its funny, how it is imagined as russian, I can easily say it fits her ( I am russian ), but fanart artists keep drawing her with some dark skin, like some ancient nation that was killed by " europians " I just don't get it since she has such a thin nose and not curly hair at all ( which is unusual for darker skin ?). Well, there is some logic, since people in cartoon Atlantida had dark skin too, like " ancient people " stereotype.. Lol. So many points to discuss xD
