This prologue certainly does a good job of setting the tone of a darker story than before here.

Its not for the faint of heart but it sets the story in motion :)

Wow, this was harsher than Jason's story at Transmission.

Pretty good starting point here.

The rest of the story has some intense moments too, but it definitely covers a lot of ground on this :)

It does feel like a proper "adventure movie" prologue! Cue "20 years" later right here and the show can begin! :D

I really like how the black and white effect turned out with those muted colours, btw. There's a richness in the greys that probably couldn't have been achieved with "normal" greyscaling. It gives the those pages a 1920/30s movie look, like Douglas Fairbanks and deMille combined, haha.

The book was originally drawn in full colour, but has been greyscaled for printing purposes (colour is far too expensive to print when you're self-publishing, for a start). :)
