A friend of mine has a husky with amazing eyes. Here's a close-up.
It's still one of my favorite photos I've ever taken. Took quite a bit of work to get it too.

Yep, I used it for many months at work as my desktop, both reduced and full resolution. I find it rather serene and relaxing as a desktop.

What kind of camera did you use to take this?

This was taken with a Canon 30D and the Sigma 150mm Macro lens. I credit the effort to take the shot and the lens selection more than the camera. Don't get me wrong, the camera is great, but this shot could have been taken with a 10D and turned out just as good.

I've got a 20D and have gathered a few shots kind of similar to this.. But yes, couldn't have done it with a point and shoot ;)
If your camera has to make the noise of a shutter by playing a sound, it's not a real camera :P

I was going to get the 20D, but the 30D came out that very month and the ability to select between 3fps and 5fps was enough to sway my decision. If you've got a macro lens, I'm sure you've had a lot of fun with it. :)
